I think Hebrew U. is mocking me.
February 7th, 2007 by michaelI’m still on the Hebrew University’s mailing list for some reason, more than a year after the less-than-glorious end of my semester there. I really need to unsubscribe. Anyway, this arrived in my inbox today…
Dear Michael,
I hope that your spring semester is getting off to a great start! Although it may be hard to believe, it’s already been about a year since you left Israel.
Spring…semester? Leaving…Israel? Oh, how different everything would have been had I not awkwardly stumbled into semi-aliyah…
But let me say now that we’re on the subject, while I generally found the Rothberg school at Hebrew U. itself somewhat unexciting, especially when I had to commuteevery day to Mount Scopus first from Bak’a and then from Katamon, Professor Lawrence Besserman’s Bible as English Literature class is highly recommended, as Kosher Eucharist homeboy Mayer can affirm.
